WILLIAM BUDGE

William Budge is an internationally acclaimed production designer and senior art director with over two decades of creative leadership in film, television, and location-based entertainment. Known for his cinematic storytelling and collaborative leadership, William has led large-scale diverse creative teams for many iconic studios including Amazon, Disney, CBS, HBO, Netflix and Paramount to bring the world’s most exciting stories to life.

Equally skilled in designing physical sets and virtual environments, William brings a unique blend of artistic vision and technical expertise—from traditional sketching and industrial design to cutting-edge digital tools. His work spans VFX-heavy productions, live-action films, and immersive environments, with a design philosophy rooted in narrative depth, visual sophistication, and cross-departmental collaboration.

Adapt at both high concept and personal stories, William’s credits span iconic franchises and critically acclaimed productions such as FALLOUT Season 2, STAR WARS: SKELETON CREW, STAR TREK: STRANGE NEW WORLDS, STAR TREK: DISCOVERY Seasons 1-3, 13 REASONS WHY, and Michael Jackson’s THIS IS IT.  He also art directed for multiple award-winning director Wim Wenders on the films LAND OF PLENTY and DON’T COME KNOCKING.

Accomplished in many disciplines, William created designs and artwork for WET, Apple iPad billboard campaigns, The Disney stores, independent film posters, and numerous commercials and feature films.  He earned an MFA from the prestigious American Film Institute in Los Angeles, CA and a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Design from Western Washington University.

William combines deep artistic vision with technical expertise in traditional and digital media.  Whether designing interstellar starships or building a historic carnival on location, William brings narrative depth and a passion for collaborative world building to every project.

William is a member of the Art Directors Guild and an Eagle Scout.
